I Had a pizza from Gio’s Pizza made by my friend who works there, and it was honestly sooo good! The crust was soft and fresh, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the flavors were on point Definitely one of the tastiest pizzas I’ve had in a while. You can tell it’s made with love and care Will totally come back again!

Me and wife saw ads for gios on Facebook and were drooling over the pictures of what was on the menu. We decided to take a drive and were greeted by one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. We chose to dine in and since it was a Friday night and he knew it would be a bit of a wait, he offered us some of the hot honey pepperoni slices to hold us over (for free!). It was just a little taste of the amazing pizza would follow. We got the sourdough Sicilian with ricotta and pepperoni and it was one of our favorite pizzas of all time. Please stop by and eat in one night, I promise you won’t regret it.

So this little gem of a pizza shop has Thin crust pizza that's Not good but ABSOLUTELY Delicious. It seems to me all their ingredients are fresh and delicious. And they take Pride in creating each pie that they make. Their open on Sunday also. While I was waiting for my pie to be made I noticed they had a cooler with a absolutely hidden gem Homemade Vanilla Risotto pudding. Oh my God delicious , creamy and Smooth just like my Grandma Margaret use to make. God rest her sole. So if you haven't stopped in yet You really Don't know what Your missing. The reason for my rating of 4 out 5 for the food is so they keep inventing more delicious dishes.

My latest experiences have been fantastic. I always give restaurants a few chances. The NY style pizza is spot on perfect and the Riboletta soup is so nice and rich and hearty. Gio’s has redeemed themselves. Update: My daughter thoroughly enjoys the Island Calamari. Beautifully and lightly breaded, accompanied by a wonderful garnish of marinated zucchini and a wonderful tomato-based dip that is a great alternative to the typical tomato cocktail sauce that every random restaurant tosses in with their overly breaded calamari. Gio’s is a hidden gem in NEPA with honesty true NY style pizza and a beautifully crafted menu for all to enjoy. Update: Tonight, as a rare treat I ordered from Gio’s and I’m sorry to say that the food is declining rapidly. I don’t want another free coupon for a bowl of soup; I simply want what I’m paying for. From the photos, you’ll see the sickly-orange “Grandma’s Penicillin soup. The menu described this as bone broth?? I don’t know what has happened, but when this first appeared on the menu, I ordered it and was delivered a rich brown hearty broth, with protein, pastina and a very delicate amount of cheese. (I wish I had taken a photo of it). But, as I do with almost every restaurant, I give things a second chance in case they had an “off” night. But as the photos will show, my “bone broth” was once again a sickly-orange, served with a few soup spoons of pastina, ZERO chicken, no herbs, vegetables or salt. It went from fabulous to hospital-grade chicken soup since it debuted. The “Italian Stallion” is normally nothing more than what I normally order except I usually add mushrooms. Since the upchqrge from Gio’s for a sprinkling of simple, baby white mushrooms is 3 for a pie, I opted out of it. But my two takeaways from this pie was the simple lack of the menu quoted “fennel, black pepper sausage crumble” and the inconsistency of the pie’s cooking. There was hardly a sprinkling of sausage on the pie, perhaps a handful (at best), of sweet green peppers and overloaded with cheese. Almost 40 (and my soup was free after I raised these same issues about it the last time) is absurd. Stick with their NY pie which is the thinnest you’ll find in NEPA, their calamari or their chicken Milanese. I don’t take satisfaction is leaving a bad review; but the drastic change in such a short window of time makes me feel as if corners are being cut so early in what was a spectacular meal in the past. I don’t need another free bowl of soup, I’ll just buy a can next time instead: What really upset me was what put Gio’s in a class of their own in the past; the fresh basil leaves served with their pies. Take a look at the photo and ask yourself if you’d serve yourself a bug-eaten (see the hole), unwashed or thoroughly aged basil leaf to yourself? Let alone a paying customer? Just very disappointing. Perhaps I’ve had high-expectations from my previous orders, and my hopes previous missteps were just a restaurant having a bad night, but 2 bad experiences aren’t a good indicator to me of future orders. Sorry!

Gallant Gio's, Many bites, and there are no rules. Gio's Pizza Co. Is a must-visit for anyone who wants to try New Haven-style pizza and other award-winning pies. I've never visited New Haven, but Gio's brings you there without the travel. The New York style was a great addition to the New Haven. The smell of charred mozz, sauce, and seasoning left a scent that triggered the senses into an eating frenzy. The fella at the register carried my pizzas over to me and knows how to keep Gio's gallantly operating onward. Order early or dine in. Thanks, Gio's

This pizza doesn’t disappoint! My favorite is the old fashioned with sesame seed crust. We just tried the Sicilian sourdough which was amazing. Their sauce is so good and it tastes fresh and homemade. Crust is always cooked to perfection.

Hesitated to try this place for a while because the prices are a bit higher than other local pizza spots. Glad I finally did. Definitely worth the price. Crust is phenomenal, sauce is good, cheese/sauce ratio is percent . The hot honeybee is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had

Spectacular spot. Ordered two plain slices and a side of hand-cut fries to-go. In the car, opened the fries and they were crispy, potato-y and delicious. Seriously some of the best around, and we have some good spots around the area. After a five-minute drive home, opened the pizza and it still had a fantastically crisp undercarriage. Also had some fresh basil in the box which I really appreciated, since good pizza and fresh basil is a match made in heaven. Delicious by itself and with the basil. Did not expect this level of "great," but here are. Next time, I've gotta get the sesame baguette to try, along with a full tray Do not sleep on this spot!
